William E. Wolfe, Jr., age 88, of Antioch passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at his home surrounded by family. He was a native of Portsmouth, OH and son of the late William Elliott and Ethel Coldiorn Wolfe. He was also preceded in death by sons, Billy and David Wolfe, and Carlton Black; daughter, Donna King; brothers, Manuel and Leonard Wolfe and his wife, Alyce Corey Wolfe.

Funeral service will be at 3:00PM Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery with Military Honors.

He is survived by daughter, Becky (Mark) Durham of Antioch, sons, David (Pam) Corey of Connecticut, James Wolfe of Shelbyville and Russell (Melissa) Wolfe of LaVergne; 9 grandchildren, 11great-grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Mr. Wolfe was a decorated US Army retiree who served in Korea and Vietnam. He was also retired from the City of LaVergne, Public Works Dept. He was lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion and one of the founding fathers of the National Museum of the United States Army in Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to the VFW Smyrna Post 8422, 1 0157 Old Nashville Hwy, Smyrna, TN 37167 or to the American Legion, Donelson Post.
