Shelby Harper, age 86 of Murfreesboro, TN, formerly of Jackson died Thursday, November 10, 2022, at NHC Healthcare, Murfreesboro.  Shelby was born September 20, 1936 to Bertha (Hooten) and Daniel Roy King of Bemis, TN.  She was a 1954 graduate of J.B. Young High School and was of The Church of Christ faith.  She had worked at various jobs throughout her life.

Shelby was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Billy and Roy, and granddaughter Leah Wallace.

She is survived by her former spouse Horace Harper; sons Lindsay (Linda), Greg (Tracy); a daughter, Anna Garrabrant; and grandchildren, Meredith Harper (Ben Lowery), Ginny (Alvin) Yiu, Charlie Harper (Ciara Fangel), Stephan (Katie) and Ryan Garrabrant; and great grandchildren, Tristen Burgess and Alex Yiu.
