Robert Leon "Bob" Mims , age 67 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019. A native of Manning, SC, he was the son of the late Needham Jefferson and Thelma Mae Riley Mims, Sr.

Mr. Mims is survived by his wife of 37 years, Deborah Clawson Mims; daughters, Julie Stover Allen of Laurinburg, NC, Charity Mims of Winder, GA, Faith Mims of Provo, UT, Hope Mims of Murfreesboro, TN, and Patience Myers of Winder, GA; brother, Dr. N. J. Mims, Jr of Laurinburg, NC; sister, Ann Christmas of St. Petersburg, FL; seven grandchildren, Dylan Hill, Destiny, Serenity, and Trinity Houseknecht, Pierce and Gavin Baillargeon, and Honor Myers.

A graveside service with military honors will be held 1:00 PM Friday, July 5, 2019 at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Pegram, TN, with Dr. N. J. Mims, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Middle Tennessee State Veteran Cemetery.

Mr. Mims was a US Marine serving during Vietnam, and later worked as a construction supervisor.
