Renee Effler, age 56 of Murfreesboro, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones Friday, April 14, 2017. She is the wife of David Effler and the daughter of Bonnie Swann Hughes and the late James Earl Hughes.

There will be a visitation for Mrs. Effler from 4PM to 7PM Monday, April 17, 2017 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Effler is also survived by two sons, Gunter Effler of Murfreesboro, and Kiefer Effler and his wife Amanda of Brantford, Ontario; and one sister, Connie Bailey and her husband Alan of Shelbyville.

Not only was Mrs. Effler a dedicated wife and mom, she was also very dedicated to her church, St. Marks United Methodist Church where she had been a faithful member for many years. She worked at Ingram Content Group and loved her work there. Mrs. Effler enjoyed watching her beloved UT Vols no matter the score.

The family has requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital or any cancer research charity of your choice.
