Peggy Juanita Murphy Patterson , age 79 of Smyrna, TN, it is with great sadness the family announces her passing on Thursday July12, 2018. Mrs. Patterson was born on May 8, 1939 to the late Grady Lee and Jessie Elberta "Birdie" Taylor Murphy. She was also preceded in death by her husband Milburn W. Patterson, a son, Bobby Smiley, and ten brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Patterson is survived by a son, Bart Dennis of Nashville, TN; sister, Patricia Faye Murphy Bain; grandchildren, Brittany Slate, Murphy Smiley, Lauren Balcom, and Amber Smiley Anglea; several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Monday following the visitation with Pastor Lisa Oliver officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Liberty, TN.

Mrs. Patterson was born in Smithville, TN, and moved to Nashville, TN, and then to Smyrna, TN. She was a retired manager with Sky Chefs for the Nashville Airport. Mrs. Patterson also had her own fashion boutique. She was always involved in giving to many charities, and has a passion for fashion. Mrs. Patterson was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and loved by anyone who met her. Her personality consisted of being very outspoken, outgoing, and entertaining.

The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers through this difficult time. They would like to thank Sasha Despot for being a loving and nurturing caregiver.
