Nan Brooks Piercy, age 76, of Murfreesboro, TN, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 14, 2016. A native of Jasper, TN she was the daughter of the late Carroll B. and Nina Irene Parker Piercy. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Carroll B. Piercy Jr., Samuel C. Piercy, and Rex W. Piercy.

Miss Piercy is survived by her brother Carter C. Piercy and his wife Sharon; sister, Joe-Ann Piercy Mayfield; nephews, Mason T. Lynch and his wife Teresa, Gary Piercy, Ryan Piercy, and Michael Piercy; nieces, Carolyn Piercy, Jenny Piercy, Sara Walker, Karen Piercy, Jessica Piercy, and Jennifer Piercy; friends, Ernest Brown, Sam Ashworth, Linda Tucker, Calvin Bell, Allen Currey, Hugh Waddle, Don Bedwell, George Sudberry, SueMcGlothin, Karen, Lisa Whisenhut, Meredith Green, Don Graves, and Steve Simmons, Pat Ford, Charlene Almond, Mary Potts, Kimberly Roberts and Linda Armstrong.

She attended San Diego State, MTSU, Fisk University, and the University of Memphis where she earned three different Masters Degrees. She was a veteran of the United States Army and was a retired Auditor with the State of Tennessee Department of Labor. Ms. Piercy was also a member of the Eastern Star.

Visitation will be Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to St. Jude Hospital in memory of Ms. Piercy.
