Mary Helen Braswell Duke, age 83 of Murfreesboro went to meet her Lord and Savior on Friday October 13, 2017. She was a native of Rutherford County and was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Allen M. Duke who died August 31, 2017. She is also preceded in death by her parents, F. W. Braswell and Ova Bryant Braswell; sisters, Frances Corley and Jessie Shelton; and her brother, F.W. Braswell, Jr. Mrs. Duke was retired from the Alvin C. York Medical Center. She was a faithful member of Wards Grove Baptist Church, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a virtuous woman as mentioned in Proverbs 31.

Mrs. Duke is survived by her children, Debbie Brashear and husband Kenny, Danette Jones and husband Steve, Donna Tarpley and husband Chris, Denita Lehew, Danny Duke and wife Barbara; grandchildren, Noah Weakley and wife Jessica, Natalie Weakley, Grant Tarpley, Trent Duke, Shea Juneau and husband Daniel, Austin Duke and wife Jessica, Kelsey Lehew, and Mallory Lehew; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Irene Winters of Murfreesboro, Faye Jaco and husband Johnny of Murfreesboro.

Visitation will be 3:00PM to 7:00PM Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 2:00PM Monday at Wards Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Fisher and Rev. Mike Holloway will officiate. Burial will follow at Wards Grove Cemetery. www.woodfinchapel.com
