Lida Rivera Guzman , age 67 of Smyrna, TN, passed away Tuesday February 27, 2018. A native of Austin, TX, she was the daughter of the late Elijio and Angelita Arevalo Rivera. Mrs. Guzman was also preceded in death by her brothers, Angel, Ralph, and Luciano Rivera, and sisters, Guadalupe Arevalo, Julia Ugalde, Lillie Mae Escalante, and Mary Rivera.

Mrs. Guzman is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jesse Guzman, Jr.; sons, Jesse Guzman III and his wife Michelle of Smyrna, TN, James Guzman and his wife Christina of Georgetown, TX, Albert Orona of San Antonio, TX, and John Anthony Orona of LaVergne, TN; daughters, Laurie Gutierrez of Fort Worth, TX, Diana Bennett and her husband Mark of Austin, TX, and Carol Perez and her husband Joe of Murfreesboro, TN; brothers, Jesse Rivera of Taylor, TX and Joe Rivera of San Marcos, TX; sisters, Juanita Rivera and Alucemie Najera both of Round Rock, TX; 22 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Jesse and James Guzman officiating. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
