John Thomas Russell, Jr. age 64 of Gulf Shores Alabama, formally of Nashville passed away December 25, 2015. A native of Davidson County, he is the son of the late John Thomas Russell, Sr. He is also preceded in death by a son; John Thomas Russell III and a brother; Mark Russell.

Mr. Russell is survived by his daughter; Melissa (Mike) Smith of Murfreesboro, his mother; Dorothy Fights, two grandchildren; Michael A. Smith Jr. and Rachel Smith. He is also survived by his brothers; Richard Russell of Smyrna, Timmy (Paula) Russell, Herbert Russell all of Murfreesboro, Ron (Lisa) Russell of Mt. Juliet, Monty Russell of Murfreesboro and his sister; Sandra (Pete) Haberle of Pennsylvania .

Visitation will be 4:00pm until 8:00pm Friday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna. Funeral service will be 11:00am Saturday at Woodfin Chapel with Brother Ron Caldwell officiating. Interment will be 2:00pm Saturday at Jane Jones Cemetery in Williamson County Tennessee.
