Everett Jack Davis, The Tomato Man, went home to be with the Lord August 10, 2017. He was born May 30th, 1942 to Hurlan Herman and Mazlee Barrett Davis. He lived all his life in the Leanna community and attended Walter Hill School and was a member of Walter Hill First Baptist Church.

Jack was known as the Tomato Man as every Spring he planted from three hundred to seven hundred tomato plants. He enjoyed talking to his many friends during the summer when he sold "the best tasting tomatoes" to the public at his house. He was a farmer, welder, deputy sheriff, and retired from Rich Products after 29 years.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Arms Davis; sons, Jimmy (Kim) and Jamie of Murfreesboro, Jason (Rachel) of Morrison; a beloved brother, Charles, Ike, Davis (Avon); grandchildren, Beth, Kelly, Haley, Jacob, and Josh Davis; great-grandchildren, Shelby, Allison, Abigail, and Addie. He loved them all very much.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 10AM. Visitation will be Monday, August 14, 2017 from 4PM-8PM. Pallbearers are Myron Davis, Steve Davis, Terry Dillon, Jeff Arms, Will Jordan and Buddy Jordan. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Davis, Ike Farrer, Wayne Reed, H.J. Mahaffey, Bill Nichols and Billy King. Ike Davis and Shelby Smith will officiate. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Cemetery.

He is preceded in death by his Mother, Father, and a brother, Frank Pedro Davis.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the building fund at Walter Hill First Baptist Church or Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro.
