Merle Maxwell, age 78, of Mt. Juliet passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at his home. He is the husband of the late Shirley Maxwell Lawson and the son of the late Freeland Maxwell and Elsie Cook Maxwell.

He is survived by two brothers, Bobby Maxwell of Florida and Jerry Maxwell of Nashville; two sisters, Betty Mcginnis and Kathy Miller both of Nashville; two grandchildren, David Maxwell of Mt. Juliet and Angayla Maxwell; and one daughter-in-law, Katie Waggoner of Smyrna.

Mr. Maxwell was also preceded in death by one son, David Maxwell.

There will be a graveside service for Merle Maxwell at 10 AM Saturday, August 6, 2016, at Old Beech Grove Cemetery, 471 Old U.S. 41, Beechgrove, TN 37018.
