Bernardo "Bernie" Giannetti, age 69, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016. He is the husband of Bonnie Nichols Giannetti, and the son of the late Stephen Paul Giannetti and Carmella Abbate Giannetti.

A memorial service will be held at 6 PM, Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.

Coach Bernie was a navy veteran in the Vietnam War. He then was a compliance officer for the Broward Community Blood Center. Throughout the years, he coached many fast pitch softball teams and stayed involved in volunteering until he got his dream offer to be the head coach of the softball team at Antioch High School

Coach Bernie is also survived by two daughters, Tamara Gandhi of Coral Springs, Stephena Bello and her husband Ralph of Murfreesboro; a sister, Mary Ann Pelli and her husband Mario of Naples, FL; and six grandchildren, Jacob Rochetti, Dillian Gandhi, Stephen Giannetti and Avery, Samuel and Lucas Bello.

Visitation for Coach Bernie will also be Tuesday, November 1, 2016, from 5PM – 6PM at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.

The family has requested that memorials be made to Lightning Elite Travel Softball Team by contacting any 5/3 Bank. This is a travel softball team that Coach Bernie put together.
