Charles Everett (Chuck) Parham Sr., age 79 of Murfreesboro, Tennessee was called to heaven on Thursday, May 25th 2017 at Adams Place after a short illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents James Allen and Helen Rector Parham, brothers Robert Allen Parham, Rex Earl Parham, Larry Dean Parham sister Joyce Ann Parham Evans, grandson Thomas Michael Parham, Great grandsons Caidyn Brawner and Brighton Brawner.

He is survived by his wife Bobbie Sue McDowell Parham, son and daughter in law Charles E. (Butch) Parham Jr. and Anne Parham, daughter Teressa Ann Parham, son and daughter in law Michael R. Parham and Christy Lea Parham, Grandchildren Matthew K. Parham, Amy Brawner, Grace McQueen and husband Chico.

Great Grandchildren Chance, Cierra, Abilene, Daniel, Dustin, Ember.

Mr. Parham was born in Raleigh and raised in the mountains around Asheville, North Carolina. He was proudly of both Cherokee and Christian faiths. He enlisted into the U.S Army Air Guard at the age of sixteen and transferred to the U.S. Air Force at the age of eighteen. He proudly served his country in a variety of assignments including as a radio operator on C-119 Flying Boxcar at Sewart AFB in Smyrna, Tennessee in the mid 1950`s, as a Survival Instructor and Aircrew Life Support Tech Sgt. with the 553`rd Recon Squadron on Okinawa and in Korat, Thailand. He was a U.S.A.F Recruiter in Allentown, Pa. and, served with the 97`th Bombardment Wing at Blytheville AFB, Blytheville, Arkansas, as well as the 91`rst Air Refueling Squadron at McConnell AFB in Wichita, Kansas among several other assignments around the world. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1977 after twenty three years of honorable and decorated service and moved to Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He attended Murfreesboro Vo-Tech School receiving HVAC and Electrical certifications and worked on his own for many years afterward servicing A/C and electrical equipment.

He was a kind man who always had a joke or a kind word for everyone and was always ready to lend a helping hand wherever needed. He was a proud member and attended daily meetings of "The Hardee`s Bunch" with his fellow veterans at the Memorial Blvd. Hardee`s. He loved and will be dearly missed by his family and great many friends. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date to be determined.
