Arthur M. Barnes age 79 of Murfreesboro, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday January 3, 2015. A native of Atlanta, Georgia he was the son of the late Paul and Sarah Brand Barnes. He is also preceded in death by his step father; James Ethridge, two grandchildren; Timothy Miller, Jennifer Lavelle, a brother; Bob Barnes and a sister; Evelyn Koleshko.

Mr. Barnes is survived by his daughters; Bonita Robertson of Calhoun, Georgia, Denise (Ed) Everhart of Marietta, Georgia, two sons; Donald (Linda) Barnes of St. Louis, Missouri and David Barnes of Marietta, Georgia. He is also survived by five grandchildren; Michael Taylor, Jessica Taylor, Nathan Barnes, Elizabeth Hernandez, Carrie Hodgins, 10 great-grandchildren; Brandon, Sam, Alliea, Mikey, Jack, Rylee, Levi, Kaydee, Addi, Theadora, three cousins; Wesley Skelton, Jean Goodson, Jane Skelton and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Barnes was a member of Middle Tennessee Baptist Church and was an Air Force Veteran.

Visitation will be 4:00pm until time of service at 7:00pm Tuesday at Middle Tennessee Baptist Church, 706 Richard Road Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37129 with Brother Tony Hutson officiating. Interment will be 11:30am Friday January 8, 2015 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton Georgia.
