Patricia "Pat" Young Atkins, age 72 residing in Murfreesboro, TN passed away on April 9, 2023. Born in Martinsville, VA to the late Conrad Simmons Young and Edith Elizabeth Seay Young. Ms. Atkins is survived by her beloved daughter, Penny Coates and her husband Steve; her sisters and brother-in law's Judy & Dudley Hauser, and Cindy & Lane Hall; and brothers and sister in law, Benny & Sue Young, and Roger Young, as well several nieces and nephews.

Pat spent most of her life in the Martinsville, VA area where she raised a great daughter, she enjoyed motorsports and traveling later life with her daughter & son-in law. Many would have known her from Collins Funeral Home, where her compassion for serving ones in their time of need was evident. Truly one of the nicest, most genuine people, everyone who met her had their life enhanced because of her interaction. Those that knew Pat would know she would be embarrassed at reading such a glowing paragraph but all would agree she was a very special person and her life's journey should be celebrated.
