Sara Smith Griswold Marsh passed away at AdamsPlace in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on August 21, 2015. Sara was born on April 5, 1940 in Alabama and grew up in Chattanooga. After graduating from Red Bank High School, she moved to Miami where she worked for National Airlines. She spent most of her adult life in Florida making many friends and traveling the world. Sara was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Nancy Smith, her sister, Loree Smith Carter and husbands, E.T. Griswold and Wendel Marsh. She is survived by her sisters, Helen Smith (Frank) Pardue, Chattanooga and Tommie Smith Haynes, Lenoir City; niece, Judy Carter (Charlie) Myatt, Murfreesboro; nephew, Mark (Patty) Haynes, Lenoir City; step-children, John (Leslie) Marsh, Tampa; Kathleen Marsh (Kenn) Conner, California; Patrick Marsh, Japan; step-grandchildren, Jim and Graeme Marsh, Tampa and Kevin and Megan Conner, California. She is also survived by great nieces, Lori Myatt (David) Dykes, Murfreesboro; Lara Myatt (Vance) Derryberry, Nashville; great nephew, Matt Myatt, Collierville, and several great great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at AdamsPlace for the care and friendship they offered to Sara. We also want to thank Ernie, Silakhone and Katie for their kindness, smiles and the chocolate! Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. EST, Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Evergreen Cemetery in Okeechobee, Florida.
