Dorris Whitfield Frizzell, age 91 of Murfreesboro died Monday, August 22, 2016. He was a native of Rutherford County and a longtime resident of Park View Meadows.

He is survived by his sisters, Betty Jean Parker, Peggy Gilbert, brothers, Bruce Frizzell and his wife Adeline, Joe Frizzell, Wade Frizzell, sister-in-law, Allie Mae Frizzell and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Frizzell was preceded in death by his parents, William Xanton and Jimmie Lee Crosslin Frizzell; wife, Virginia "Jean" Bell Hill Frizzell; brothers, James Frizzell and Kenneth Frizzell.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Anthony Pelham will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Visitation will be 12:00Noon until 2:00pm Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Frizzell proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII in Germany and Japan. He was a professional in his field of building, having worked with Martindale Builders and Peery Construction Company.

Mr. Frizzell was a member of Garrison Fork Baptist Church for many years, a church he loved. Memorials may be made to the Garrison Fork Baptist Church c/o Bob Crosslin.
