WM. KENNETH VAN FLEET, age 84 of Smyrna died December 25, 2010. He was a native of Louisville, KY and the son of the late Joseph L. and Lillian McMahon Van Fleet. He is survived by the love of his life of 64 years, Tommie E. White Van Fleet, daughter, Candice E. (Arlin) Eaton of LaVergne, TN, son, Wm. Craig Van Fleet of LaVergne, TN,brother, Joe L. Van Fleet, Hurst, TX, grandchildren, Tiffany (Paul) Van Oostrom and Chad A. Eaton, great grandson, Jeff K. Benton, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Van Fleet was a member of Highland Heights Church of Christ and served in the US Navy during WWII as a Gunners Mate Third Class, honorably discharged in June 1946. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Private funeral services will be held at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.
