Obituary

Winnie Madge Prien, age 80, of Scottsville, KY, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 7, 2016. A native of Alexander City, AL she was preceded in death by her parents, Charner and Estelle Ogle McInnish; and two brothers, Allen McInnish and Leslie McInnish.

A Celebration of Life will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Kerry Pennington will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna.

Mrs. Prien is survived by her loving husband, Milton Prien; daughters, Beth States of Smyrna, TN and Feion George of Prescott, AZ; son, Ronald Sanford of Cullman, AL; six grandchildren, Erika George, Chris George, Samantha Young, Charles Sanford, Brie States, and Brian States; two great-grandchildren, Kayla and Bryson States; sister, Lucille Ford of AL; brother, Charner McInnish of AL; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Prien was a member of Flat Rock United Methodist Church. She loved crafting and sewing. Her biscuits and gravy and chicken and dumplins were the best as she took pride in cooking. Mrs. Prien was a die-hard Alabama Crimson Tide football fan. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
