Wilson Lee Carwell, Jr. age 61 of LaVergne, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at StoneCrest Medical Center. He was a native of Palestine, Texas and a son of the late Wilson Lee Carwell, Sr. and Lula Hawkins Carwell.

Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Joann Carwell; two step-daughters, Amanda and Tammy Williams; two grandsons, Justin and Shaquille Carwell; two brothers, Archie Ray Carwell and his wife Ruth Ann of Crowley, Texas and Edward Lee Carwell of Carrolton, Texas; an aunt, Betty Jo Hawkins; an uncle, John Hawkins and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.

Mr. Carwell was a member of the Baptist faith, a United States Army Veteran, and a retired truck driver.

A graveside service with military honors will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Pegram.
