Wilma Jo Wise McClaran, age 76, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012. A native of Rutherford County she was preceded in death by her parents, Shellie and Annie Langrell Wise Harris. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel R. McClaran Sr; son, Samuel R. McClaran Jr; granddaughter, Tiffany Cawthorn; brother, William Wise and sister, Marian Sue Wise. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00PM at Woodfin Funeral Chapel in Murfreesboro. Reverend Don Herron and Reverend Dwight Bennison will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. McClaran is survived by her sons and daughter in law, James A. (Teresa) McClaran of Milton and David W. McClaran of Crossville; daughters and sons-in-law, Jo Ann (Steve) Cawthorn of Murfreesboro and Karen (Mike) Galbraith of Old Hickory; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brothers, Noah Harris Jr, Michael Harris and Austin Pete Harris all of Murfreesboro; and sisters, Linda Pitts of Clarksville, Shirley Jakes of Ohio, Pat Burns of Rockvale, Barbara Hayes of Nashville, Connie Redman of Murfreesboro, Joyce Coleman of Murfreesboro and several nieces and nephews. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. The family would like to thank the staff at NHC for the loving care they provided to Mrs. Wilma. Mrs. McClaran was a member of River Rock Baptist Church. She was retired from the Murfreesboro City School System. George Snyder, L.B. Ferrell, Bill Redmond, Richard Barnett, Steve McClaran, Rod Russell, Billy Comstock and Bill Belew Jr will serve as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00PM to 8:00PM Saturday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel in Murfreesboro. 893-5151
