WILMA JO DUKE, age 83, of Murfreesboro died Wednesday, March 25, 2009. She was born in Woodbury, TN to the late Albert and Mary Bogle Elrod. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Duke, and sisters, Louise Setliff, Evelyn Oliver, and Polly Edwards. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Saturday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. John Risse will officiate. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Frank E. Duke, son, Jerry (Peggy) Duke of Nashville, brothers, James and Billy Yearwood of Smyrna, grandchildren, Michael (Melanie) Duke, Rebecca (Jeffrey) Lassiter, David Duke, and Duane (Angie) Duke, great grandchild, McKnight Lassiter, and daughter-in-law, Peggy Duke of Readyville. Mrs. Duke was a member of the Church of Christ and retired from Nashville Bridge Company. She was a life member of the VFW post 8422 and a graduate of David Lipscomb College.
