WILLIE BRASHEAR SMITH ALEXANDER, age 91, of Smyrna, died February 16, 2011. She was a native of Rutherford County and daughter of the late Bascomb Buriel and Annie Paschal Brashear. A graveside service will be Saturday at 3:00 PM at Mapleview Cemetery in Smyrna with Bro. Fay Cornwell officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM Friday at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Mrs. Alexander is survived by nephews, nieces, Ann Gordon of Murfreesboro, Bobbie McIntyre of Murfreesboro, Nancy Vaughn of Gallatin, and Betty Weigant of Murfreesboro; nephews Donald Bingham of Smyrna, and Ronald Bingham of Lexington, KY. Mrs. Alexander was married to the late Benny T. Smith, and then to the late Leonard D. Alexander. Mrs. Alexander was a member of Highland Heights Church of Christ and was retired from General Electric. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
