Mr. Willie Jakes, Jr., age 84, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015. He was a son of the late Hattie Roberta McCarty and Willie Jakes, Sr. and was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County. Mr. Jakes worked for General Electric. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jeanette Hollandsworth; granddaughter, Amanda Burks; great-grandson, Dylan Hollandsworth; sister, Mary Katherine Malone; and brother, Jessie Jakes. Mr. Jakes is survived by two sons, Larry Jakes and Alan Jakes and his wife Deborah; eight grandchildren; twelve grandchildren; two brothers, Dorris Jakes and Joe Jakes; and a sister, Helen Lane. Visitation with the family will be Monday, March 23, 2015 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 5:00pm at Coleman Cemetery, Murfreesboro, TN.
