Obituary

WILLIE B. DRIVER, age 89, of Murfreesboro, TN died Wednesday, December 15, 2010. He was a native of DeKalb County and the son of the late, W.L. and Minnie Herndon Driver. He was also preceded in death by his wonderful stepmother, Addie Driver, and sister, Delilah Lynch. Funeral service will be 10:30am Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Joe Elliott and Rev. David Martin will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Curtis Driver, daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Rick Jennings, son and daughter-in-law, David and Darcey Driver all of Murfreesboro, brothers, John Driver of AZ, Kenneth Driver of TX, grandchildren, John and Ray Jennings, Jennifer Ricks, and Jamie Fisher, and 4 great grandchildren. Mr. Driver was a member of Kelley's Chapel United Methodist Church. He was a US Army veteran who served in WWII and Korea. He was awarded the WWII Victory Medal, the European-Africian-Middle Eastern Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. After his military service he retired from the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center after 24 years as a boiler fireman. Pallbearers will be Rick, John, and Ray Jennings, Doug Vaught, Robert Ricks and Joe Fisher.
