Willie Hoyd Burks, age 85 of Mt. Juliet died Sunday June 17, 2012 He was a native of Rutherford County and was preceded in death by his parents, Comer P. and Votra Geneva Chumney Burks, sister, Beulah Mae Burks, brothers, James Howard Burks, and Jerry Burks, and sisters,Velvia Vaughan and Bertha Burks. Mr. Burks was a member of Belle Aire Baptist Church and was retired from Yellow Freight. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Burks; daughter; Trish Mundy and Dean Bolinger of Mt. Juliet; sons; Jeff Burks and wife Jamie of Gladville, Scott Burks of Mt. Juliet, John Burks and wife Theresa of Kansas; Grandchildren; Taiylor and Rachael Mundy, Heather Wolfe and husband Justin, John Burks and wife Erica, Dillon Burks and fiancé Elisha, Avi Burks and Morgan Burks; three great-granddaughters; brothers; Leon Burks and wife Pat of Manchester, Ted Burks of Woodbury; sister-in-law, Gloria Burks of Murfreesboro. Funeral service will be 2:00PM Thursday at Belle Aire Baptist Church with Dr. Dean Sisk and Bud Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Coleman Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00PM to 8:00PM Tuesday at Sellers Funeral Home 2250 N. Mt. Juliet Rd. Mt.
