William "Will" Sorrell, age 58, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father, Homer Sorrell and grandparents, Ryland and Mattie Lee Halliburton.

He is survived by his daughter, Allison Summar (Stephen); son, Peyton Sorrell and his mother Stacey Gentry; grandchildren, Jaxson and Maddilyn; mother, Carolyn Sherrod; brother, Terry Sherrod (Jill); sister, Lisa Sherrod; best friends, Mark Zoll and Hunter Byrd; and many other family and friends.

Will dedicated many years of service to Adient where he took great pride in his work and always held himself to high standards. He was extremely proud of his recovery and recently celebrated 15 years of sobriety, a testament to his strength, perseverance, and commitment to life. He found joy in concerts, days at the beach, cars, thrifting, and carpentry projects. Above all, he was a loving and devoted son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. A lifelong Tennessee Volunteers fan, his spirit and loyalty shone through to the end. Go Vols!

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, December 31, 2025 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Celebration of life will begin at 6:00 PM.
