WILLIAM WOODS SNELL, SR. age 73 of Murfreesboro, died Saturday July 4, 2009 at MTMC. He was a native of Rutherford County and the son of the late Felix L. and Lorena Clark Snell. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Pastor Donnie Clayton will officiate. Burial will be in Coleman Cemetery. Mr. Snell is survived by sons, Coleman (Dorothy) Murdock of Murfreesboro, Keith (Redena) Murdock of Woodbury, and William Woods Snell, Jr. of Murfreesboro, daughters, Chris (Mike) Williamson of Murfreesboro, Becky Grupke of Morrison, Cindy (Thomas) Martin of Bon Aqua, and Kay (A.B.) Hopper of Lebanon. Brothers, Felix (Loraine) Snell of Gallatin, Fred (Annelle) Snell of Barfield, and sister-in-law, Inarae Snell of Alabama, and 20 Grandchildren and six Great-Grandchildren. Mr. Snell was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Anna Handback Snell, daughter, Teresa Snell Green, and a brother, Curtis Snell. Mr. Snell was a member of the Rockvale Church of God, former employee of Cumming Signs, and served in the Army National Guard Reserve. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
