William Edward Reeves, age 70, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away on November 17, 2013 at his home. A native of Fentress County, TN he was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Dorothy Jones Reeves. He is also preceded in death by his sisters Dora Linder and Betty Bartholomew; and a brother, John Reeves. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30PM at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Pastor George Jackson will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military honors. William, "Bill, Ed," is survived by his loving wife, Nell Poore Reeves and their two sons, Lucian Edward Reeves and his wife Lilly and their daughter Jennifer of Shanghai, China; and William Andrew Reeves of Murfreesboro. He is also survived by four sisters, Stella Giles, Gladys Smith, Ruth Galliher, and Jewell Cobb, and a host of other family members and friends. Mr. Reeves was a member of World Outreach Church. He was a retired heavy machine mechanic from Thompson Machinery. Jason Poore, Kenny Poore, Kevin Poore, James Poore, Scott Hull, Olen Winningham, Michael Green, and David Crabtree will serve as pallbearers. Ronnie Blair, Irvin South, Lynn Huskins, Roy Chilson, Lee Beaty, Jeff Morgan, Jack Linder, Stan Reeves, Donnie Cobb, Lynn Poore, Harris Poore, Kyle Poore, Aaron Poore and Oliver Poore will serve as honorary pallbearers.
