WILLIAM JAMES POTTS age 75 of Smyrna, died Wednesday April 27, 2011. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Barney and Daisy Ann Mears Potts. Mr. Potts is survived by his brothers, Franklin Potts of Smyrna, and Joel Potts of Murfreesboro; sisters, Betty Victory of Smyrna and Joyce Ormson of Minnesota; several nephews, nieces, and cousins. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Meadowlawn Manor Fellowship Hall with Pastor Carlos Saddler officiating. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mr. Potts was a Baptist and was retired from the Lane Cedar Company in Smyrna. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday and after 10:00 AM Saturday until time of service at Meadowlawn Manor Fellowship Hall, 99 Nelson Circle, Smyrna, TN 37167.
