Mr. William Carlton Patterson, age 76, of Murfreesboro, TN died Tuesday, January 16, 2018. He was a native of Pelham, TN and is preceded in death by his daughter, Connie Sue Patterson; parents, John Alton and Martha Patterson; sister, Anna Eloise Henley; and brother, Ray Patterson. Mr. Patterson was a member of Belle Aire Baptist Church in Murfreesboro.

Mr. Patterson labored faithfully for 56 years in operations management and human resources management with Ford Motor Company, United Technologies, and Clinton Street Recruiters. Mr. Patterson is a nationally recognized human resources expert and renowned for his contributions to human resources management, labor relations, and personnel recruitment. He has been recognized numerous times for his professional and community service from such organizations as National Personnel Associates, United Way, and Cheer Mental Health. Most importantly and eternally, Mr. Patterson served the Lord Jesus out of a deep and humble gratitude for a loving Savior. He answered the call at churches in McMinnville, TN, Columbus, MS, Tampa, FL, and Murfreesboro, TN to serve as deacon, personnel chairman, teacher, and church administration consultant.

Mr. Patterson is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharon White Patterson; children, Todd Patterson and wife Lori of McMinnville, Brian Patterson and wife Renee of Franklin, TN; sister, Reba Kay Henley Alhart of Pelham, TN; brother, David Patterson and wife Mickey of McMinnville; grandchildren, Lauren Dunahoo and husband John of Murfreesboro, Kyle Patterson of Nashville, TN, Blake Patterson of Franklin, Brett Patterson and wife Abby of Murfreesboro, and Zachary Patterson of Franklin; and great-grandson, William Mason Dunahoo of Murfreesboro.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 10:00am until 1:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 1:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory near McMinnville, TN.
