William M. "Bill" Onks, age 86, of Murfreesboro, TN died September 14, 2016 at his home. He was a native of Princeton, WV and son of the late Mack Luther and Nellie Jane Mitchell Onks. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Forbes, and brother, Charles Onks.

Funeral services will be 2:30 PM, Sunday, at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Ken Polk will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:00 PM Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Family and friends will serve as pall bearers.

Mr. Onks is survived by his wife, Thelma "Jean" Onks; sons, Donald M. Onks and his wife Diane of Smithville, TN and Ronald M. Onks and his wife Angie of Australia; daughter, Donna J. Marmen and her husband Greg of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Carly and Connor Marmen; and step-grandson, Brian Williams and his family of Bel Air, MD.

Mr. Onks was a member of Northside Baptist Church. He was a United States Navy Veteran and was a sales representative for Nestle Foods for 35 years before his retirement.
