William Frank Morris, age 75 of Murfreesboro, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the Residence at Alive Hospice, Nashville. He was a native of Rutherford County and a son of the late Alton Hall and Eva Mai Patton Fann, Sr. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Patsy Morris; a son, Will Morris and a granddaughter, Kyndness Avery Morris, both of Murfreesboro; sister, Sonya Rooker of Walter Hill; a brother, Alton "Dooney" Fann, Jr. and his wife Betty of Christiana; sister in law, Sandra Parks and her husband Terry of Murfreesboro; a brother-in-law, Pettus Read of Rockvale; loving and faithful dog Buster; and a host of loving family and friends. Mr. Morris was a member of the Lascassas Church of Christ and a 1957 graduate of Murfreesboro Central High School. He worked at Jackson Brothers Chevrolet during his high school years until he became a fireman for the City of Murfreesboro in 1972. He retired from City of Murfreesboro Fire Department with the rank of Captain after 30 years of service. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be 3:00pm at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with David West officiating. Members of the Murfreesboro Fire Department will serve as pallbearers.
