William "Bill" Fate Manier passed away at home on November 18, 2014 at the age of 76. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Savannah Turman Manier and Lafayette Madison Manier, and his first wife, Mary Ann Hood Manier. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Ferris Manier. Bill is lovingly remembered by his children, Randall Thomas Manier of Nashville, Judy Manier Persinger of Murfreesboro, and Mary Pebbles Manier of Smyrna; grandchildren, Michael Thomas Manier, Joshua Dakota Persinger, LeAnn Fayeth Persinger, Brittney Elizabeth Manier, Bo Montana Persinger, Angela Marie Manier, William Edward Manier, Maya Lain Taryn Manier; great grandchildren, Jordan Gage Bradbury, Gunner Wayne Barlow, Maxon Thomas Manier, and Jacob Andrew Bradbury. He is also survived by his beloved babies, a Pomeranian Freckles and a Border Collie, Sugar. Bill was born in Leiper's Fork, TN, on July 4th, 1938. He graduated from Hillsboro High School as Valedictorian in 1956. He worked as a comptroller at Avco/Textron and retired after 30+ years. Bill enjoyed hunting, playing the guitar and singing-actually being back up at one time for the Everly Brothers. Bill also enjoyed target shooting and collecting guns. He also had a passion for bowling and playing pool. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
