WILLIAM ROBERT LAWWELL age 79 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Wednesday October 19, 2011. A native of Bedford County, he was the son of the late R. Allen and Mattie Mae Claxton Lawwell. He was also preceded in death by his wife, D. June Yoes Lawwell who died in 2007, a daughter, Melissa June Lawwell who died in 2000, a grandson, Robert Robbie Lee Lawwell, brother, James Lawwell and a sister, Mary Lee Cartwright. Mr. Lawwell is survived by sons, Keith Lawwell and his wife Leigh Ann of Murfreesboro, TN, Mark Lawwell of Cleveland, TN, and Bobby Lawwell of Murfreesboro, TN; daughter, Leigh Ann Maxwell of Murfreesboro, TN; brothers, Edward Lawwell of Columbia, TN, and Jim Lawwell of Shelbyville, TN; sisters, Evelyn Irwin of Shelbyville, TN, Ethel Kelley of Tullahoma, TN, Janie Burke and Gale Limbo both of Shelbyville, TN; 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Saturday at Advent Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Maier officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Lawwell was a U.S. Navy veteran and was retired from General Electric.
