William Edwin Kimball, age 84 of Smyrna, died Tuesday at his home with his family by his side. He was a native of Romeo, Michigan and a son of the late Arthur and Ruth Ransom Kimball. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Renee Kimball.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Lori Kimball; a son, Joseph Lee Kimball; granddaughters, Amber Zelaya, Mikale Kimball, and Caitlin Kimball, all of Smyrna; three great grandchildren, Laylah, Kobe, and Rowan; a brother, Karl Kimball; and a sister, Mitzie Wheelis, both of Lakeland, Florida.

Mr. Kimball was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal and a United States Army Veteran having served in Korea. He retired as a Supervisor from Greer Stop Nut.

Visitation with the family will be Friday, May 26, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of funeral services beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Reverend Colin M. Ambrose will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
