DR. WILLIAM JACKSON KELTON, age 76 of Franklin died Thursday. A native of Christiana, he was the son of the late William and Minnie Jackson Kelton. Graveside services will be at 3:30 pm Sunday at Evergreen Cemetery with Lance C. Westbrooks officiating. Dr. Kelton who was a retired Baptist Minister had been an English instructor at Cumberland University, M. T. S. U., Belmont University, Nashville Tech, Aquinas College and OMore College of Design. He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Rooker Kelton who died in 1999. He received his BS degree from MTSU in 1954, MA Degree from Peabody College in 1959, PhD from Vanderbilt in 1972. He received the appointment of distinguished professor from OMore College of Design in 2006. He attended and taught the W. C. Yates Bible Class at First United Methodist Church in Franklin.
