William "Bill" Edgar Hewgley age 70 of Murfreesboro, passed away Monday October 26, 2015. A native of Rutherford County he was the son of the late William Lester and Kate Comer Hewgley. He was also preceded in death by his wife; Sheila Drake Hewgley and a sister; Annie Fults. Mr. Hewgley is survived by his children, son; Timothy Hewgley of Murfreesboro, daughter; Christina Holland and her husband James and a sister; Kathy King. Mr. Hewgley enjoyed fishing, hunting, restoring cars and playing the guitar. Mr. Hewgley was a U. S. Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He received the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, 2 Army Commendation Medal's, Vietnam Gallantry Cross and the Bronze Star Medal. Visitation will be 11:00am until 12:30pm Thursday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna. Graveside service will be 1:00pm Thursday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Howard Hewgley officiating.
