William Hancock age 89 of Murfreesboro died Thursday September 25, 2014. He was a native of Wilson County and was preceded in death by his wife Edna Maxine Hancock and parents, Cecil and Grace Hancock. Mr. Hancock was a member First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro and retired from the United States Post Office. He was United States Army Veteran. Mr. Hancock is survived by his children Beth Caffy and husband Richard of Murfreesboro, Kevin Hancock and wife Sandie of Maryville; sister, Ladye Allen of Prosperity; grandchildren, Kelsey, Erik, Savannah and Julie. Funeral service will be 2:30 Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Pam Pilote will officiate. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery.
