Obituary

William Bill H. Wilcox, age 75 of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012. A native of Charleston, South Carolina, and formerly of Ridgetop, TN and Hermitage, TN he was the son of the late Hazen and Mildred Bond Wilcox. He is also preceded in death by his brother, David Wilcox. Funeral Services will be Monday at 1:00PM at the First United Methodist Church. Pastor Thad Austin will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Wilcox is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara Krueger Wilcox; son and daughter in law, Brian and Janet Wilcox of Murfreesboro; daughters and son in law, Pamela Moore of Sharps Chapel, TN and Jill and Chad Holman of Springfield, TN ; and five grandchildren, Blake and Andy Wilcox of Murfreesboro, Patrick Wilcox of Sharps Chapel, TN and Blaine and Lauren Holman of Springfield, TN. Mr. Wilcox is a member of First United Methodist Church of Murfreesboro and the Lillian Branson Sunday School class. After retirement he and his wife enjoyed creating Glasstiques artwork that is locally sold throughout Rutherford County. He was a retired art director with Cummings Signs in Nashville. He served in the Air National Guard in Milwaukee, WI. Mr. Wilcox graduated from Layton School of Art, in Milwaukee, WI with a BFA degree in Industrial Design. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) association.(The ALS Association Development Department 27001 Agoura Road, Suite 250 Calabasas Hills, CA 91301) Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
