WILLIAM (BILL) DOYLE BONNER, age 82, of Smyrna, Tn. died Tuesday at Tennessee Veterans Home in Murfreesboro. He was born in Pulaski, Tn. and was the son of the late Willie Lake & Flora Bass Bonner. He is survived by his wife, Linda Gail Booker Bonner; sons, David Bonner, Doyle Bonner, Gerald Bonner all of Clarksville, Tn.; daughters, Brenda Barnes of Huntsville, Ala and Kellie Cortner of Smyrna; step children, Lisa Ervin of Dallas, Tx and Tony Wotkiewicz of Murfreesboro; brothers, Thomas Bonner of Lynchburg, Al Bonner of Cookeville and Wayne Bonner of Huntsville, Tn.; sisters, Barbara Smith of Decatur, Ala, Ruth Nix of Lawrenceburg and Rebecca Sharp of Ethridge; 13 grandchildren 6 great grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren. Funeral services 10:30 am Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro, Tn. with Rev. Doug Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Visitation with the family will be 4-8 pm Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro. Mr. Bonner was a veteran of the U. S. Army after 20 years of service, member of Stonesriver Baptist Church and a retired Veteran Representative for the State of Tennessee.
