William Ray Dick Brannon, age 88, of Murfreesboro went to be with his Lord on Friday, December 16, 2011 after a brief illness. A native and lifelong resident of Rutherford County, he loved farming the fields of Rockvale. He later went to work for Ellis Gray Feed Mill followed by Murfreesboro Feed and Seed. After retiring, he spent his time raising a garden and crafting items to give to others. He attended Life Point Church " Stewart Creek Campus in Smyrna, TN. He was the son of the late Richard Lee and Allie Esther Whitehead Brannon. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Louise DuBois Brannon, brothers, Aubrey, Claude Pink , and Sam Brannon, sisters, Ruby Walden and twin sister, Faye Campbell, along with his great grandson, Austin Clay Adams. Graveside service will be 11:00am Tuesday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Bro. Kris Dolberry and Bro. Jim Avaritt will officiate. His children will serve as pallbearers. He is survived by his sons; Gary (Joyce) Brannon and Steven (Brigett) Brannon of Murfreesboro, daughters; Debra Brannon of New York, NY, Donna (Bob) Fyvie of Panama City, FL, Stephanie (Jon) Dinkins and Brandi (Matt) Beach of Murfreesboro, brothers; Tom and Jack (Sandra) Brannon, 12 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. The Brannon family would like to thank Alive Hospice for their compassion and care given to Mr. Brannon. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Alive Hospice in his memory.
