William Harris "Bill" Gilliam, age 85, of Murfreesboro, passed away April 22, 2015. He was a native of Summertown, TN, and son of the late Samuel Harris and Annie Bates Gilliam. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Nancy J. Primm Gilliam, and a son William H. Gilliam II. Mr. Gilliam is survived by a son, Greg Gilliam and wife Mary, and a daughter, Kristi Gilliam both of Murfreesboro; daughter in law, Donna Gilliam of Murfreesboro; brothers, James and Hobert Gilliam and sisters, Katherine Gilliam and Martha White all of Lawrence County; grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Jessica, and Hannah Gilliam, and a great granddaughter, Aiden Grace Gilliam. Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Bro Darryl Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mr. Gilliam was a member of Crescent Church of Christ and a 32nd Degree Mason. He was retired from The United States Air Force having served in Korea and Viet Nam. He was also a retired car salesman. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
