William B. Batey, age 91 died Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Mr. Batey was a native of Rutherford County and was the son of the late Leon and Nannie Johns Batey. He was also preceded in death by his wife Marie Lowe Batey who died in 2012 and a son Gary Forrest Batey who died in 1951. He is survived by nieces and nephews Becky Lowe Bowman, Delmer Lowe, Orlinda Lowe Gardner, Marsha Lowe Broyles, Diane Lowe Kelley, David Mason, Billy Mason, Frank Batey, Carolyn Batey Underhill, Sherrill Batey Becker. Mr. Batey was a member of Millersburg Baptist Church and a retired farmer. Graveside services will be 11:00 am Saturday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Bro. Mike Hoffman officiating.
