Wendell Eugene Buck , age 92 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016. A native of Somerset, KY, he was the son of the late Lee Noel and Minnie Rachel Denney Buck. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marie Streit Buck who died in 2012.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Paducah, KY, with military honors.

Mr. Buck was a United States Marine serving in WWII, and served in the South Pacific from Guadalcanal to Okinawa with the 1st Marine Division. He was retired from the U. S. Treasury Department, Internal Revenue Service Criminal division after 29 years of service. Mr. Buck was a mason, an avid reader, a gun collector, and a Ham radio operator.
