Warren A. Hornberger, age 83 of Smyrna, TN passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. A native of Altoona, PA he was the son of the late Charles and Susan Decker Hornberger. He is also preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Leon Hornberger. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00AM at Rutherford County Baptist Church . Pastor Paul Chisgar will officiate. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery with full military honors. Mr. Hornberger is survived by his wife, Edna May Ester Hornberger; son, Charles (Liz) Hornberger; daughters, Nancy (Kevin) Jones and Carol Ann (Fred) Wheatley ; step-children, Jerry (Judy) Smith, Danny (Debbie) Smith, Patricia (Thomas) Mattingly, and Robert Joe Smith; brother, Charles (Maxine) Hornberger; 50 grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Hornberger was retired from the United States Airforce having served in Korea and during the Cold War. He was also retired from Hennessy Industries.
