Wanda Gay Edwards Humfeld

Wanda Gay Edwards Humfeld, age 86, of the Rockdale-Fellowship Community, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2026. Born in the Rockdale-Fellowship Community, she was the daughter of the late Hiram Epps Edwards, Sr. and Erlene Davis McPeak Edwards. Mrs. Humfeld was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Humfeld; son, Michael Humfeld; brothers, Thomas Edwards, Bennie Lee Edwards, Hiram Epps “Junior” Edwards, Jr., and William Davis “Will Davis” Edwards; sisters, Pauline and Lorene Edwards, Edna E. Comer, and Juanita Edwards Burlason Johnson.

Mrs. Humfeld is survived by her daughter, Lynn Dillon of Ballwin, MO; brothers, Cecil Edwards and his wife Ernesteen of Mt. Juliet, TN and Leon Edwards of Pegram, TN; sisters, a twin sister, Gloria Mai Edwards Swanner, and Bobbie June Edwards Nabors both of Mt. Juliet, TN; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, and three great-step grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held Wednesday, October14, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Living Springs Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday following the visitation at Living Springs Baptist Church with Mike Powell and Bro. Ronnie Presley officiating. Burial will follow in the Lannom Cemetery with Sammy Edwards, DuWayne Kessler, Matthew Edwards, Timothy Edwards, Doug Griffin, Ricky Henley, and Chris Swanner serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Edwards, Stephen Edwards, and Wayne Jones.

Mrs. Humfeld was a member of Living Springs Baptist Church and a homemaker
