Walter Irwin, Jr. age 85 of Nashville, TN, died Friday Nov. 22, 2013. Preceded in death by parents, Walter Grant and Florena Elizabeth Rader Irwin, wife, Hazel Marie Clendenning Irwin, children, Jerry and Daniel Irwin, Barbara Marie Waggoner and Mary Elizabeth Kirby, and seven brothers and sisters. Survived by children, Walter Angelo and Chester Wayne Irwin, and Kathy Irwin Gilmore all of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Lola Mae Smith of Hendersonville, TN, brothers, Richard, Charlie,and Jim Irwin, sisters, Catherine Danka, Lola Williams, and Gladys E. Cogar, 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 8PM Tuesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with a prayer service at 5PM. Graveside service will be 11AM Wednesday at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Pegram, TN with Pastor Billy Shoulders, Sr. officiating.
