WALLACE D. THOMPSON, age 74 of Smyrna, Tn. died Sunday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born in Nashville, Tn. and was the son of the late William C. and Winnie Byrd Thompson, Sr. The family will meet at Roselawn Memorial Gardens for graveside services at 2 pm Tuesday with Brooks Faulkner officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn with full military rites. He is survived by his wife, Maxine Linder Thompson; sons, Wallace Thompson, Jr. and his wife Linda of Murfreesboro and Todd Alex Thompson of Murfreesboro; brother, William Thompson, Jr. of Hermitage; sister, Frances Steele of Nashville; grandchildren, Meagan Thompson, Tyler Thompson, Alanna Thompson and William Richard Thompson; great grandchild, Aaralyn Thompson. Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his sister, Rosemarie Jones. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Smyrna, Veteran of the United States Air Force, and a retired employee of A T & T.
