WALKER WADE TOMLIN age 83 of Beechgrove, died Saturday December 10, 2011. A native of Williamson County, he was the son of the late John Wade and Mary Thelma Marlin Tomlin. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna, with Doyle Hurst and Frank Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Tomlin is survived by his wife of 61 years Ruth Still Tomlin, sons, Larry (Rebecca) Tomlin of Lavergne, Jimmy (Judy) Tomlin of Beechgrove, Tim Tomlin of Nashville, Steve Tomlin of Manchester; daughter, Belinda McGriff of Beechgrove; brother, Raymond Tomlin of CA, 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Roger Tomlin and a brother, J.C. Tomlin. Mr. Tomlin retired from Avco after 36 years of service and was a veteran of the United States Army.
